As demand for our innovative products grows, we are expanding our team of talented engineers who are passionate about solving complex challenges and driving excellence in manufacturing. We are looking for a Manufacturing Engineer to join our team in Downers Grove, IL. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to groundbreaking projects in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Responsibilities

  • Drive Process Improvements: Develop and implement efficient production processes and controls that align with quality standards and cost objectives.
  • Problem-Solve with Impact: Lead Root Cause/Corrective Action (RCCA) investigations using methodologies like Fishbone Diagrams or Fault Trees.
  • Collaborate Across Teams: Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure the functionality of manufacturing equipment and assets to meet program requirements.
  • Hands-On Support: Provide technical support to production teams, resolving line-down situations and fostering operational sustainability.
  • Ensure Manufacturability: Participate in design reviews and technical meetings to enhance the manufacturability of components and systems.
  • Master Key Processes: Become the technical expert for processes such as material loading, powder dispensing, welding, engraving, and assembly.
  • Evaluate and Optimize: Perform technical evaluations of non-conforming hardware and provide engineering recommendations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering (B.S.) and 0-5 years of relevant experience in a related industry.
  • Must be a U.S. permanent resident and eligible to possess explosives under the Safe Explosives Act of 2003.
  • Strong ability to analyze technical documents and communicate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Familiarity with structured problem-solving methodologies.
  • Thrive in a fast-paced, milestone-driven culture, working collaboratively across disciplines.
  • Capable of managing multiple schedules and priorities.
  • Proficiency in writing reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals, and effectively presenting to various audiences.
