About the position

The position involves performing general engineering tasks and utilizing advanced technologies in the medical device industry. The engineer will ensure customer expectations are met while adhering to safety, environmental, and quality standards. The role includes evaluating and applying engineering techniques, participating in product and process improvement projects, and collaborating with team members to drive innovation and quality management.

Responsibilities

• Perform general engineering methods and tools while utilizing advanced technologies.
• Ensure customer expectations are met or exceeded with guidance from experienced engineers.
• Adhere to safety, environmental, and quality requirements including FDA regulations.
• Evaluate, select, and apply standard engineering techniques and procedures.
• Review procedures and plans prior to implementation.
• Investigate, develop, document, and implement new product and process technologies.
• Plan, schedule, and execute engineering work on projects.
• Apply standard data analysis practices to establish root causes for failures.
• Collaborate with others to exchange information and check for understanding.
• Champion the development and deployment of systems and tools for continuous improvement.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or related technical field.
• At least three years of relevant experience, or 7+ years of relevant experience without a degree.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
• Solid technical aptitude and effective communication skills.
• Functional understanding of Quality Management Systems.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in the medical device industry.
• Knowledge of Quality Management System documentation tasks.
