About the position

We are seeking a skilled Manufacturing Engineer to join our growing team at Actalent. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing production plans and managing new product designs to ensure manufacturability. This position requires a keen understanding of production requirements, including the identification of new processes, tools, fixtures, inspection requirements, and shipping braces/brackets. You will collaborate closely with Continuous Improvement teams to enhance manufacturing efficiency and effectiveness. Your responsibilities will also include designing manufacturing routings, producing Bills of Materials (BOMs), and procuring special equipment and tools necessary for production. You will be tasked with creating comprehensive production documents, which will include charts, tables, and drawings for conduit, insulation cutting, and hoses. Additionally, you will provide detailed kit and packaging requirements and instructions, such as crates and packing lists, to ensure that all products are prepared for shipment in an organized and efficient manner. This role is critical in ensuring that our manufacturing processes are optimized for quality and efficiency, and you will play a key part in driving improvements across our production lines. Your expertise will help us maintain our commitment to delivering high-quality products to our clients while adhering to industry standards and best practices.

Responsibilities

• Prepare production plans for new product designs.
• Identify production requirements including new processes, tools, fixtures, and inspection requirements.
• Work closely with Continuous Improvement teams to enhance manufacturing processes.
• Design manufacturing routings and produce Bills of Materials (BOMs).
• Order special equipment and tools needed for production.

Requirements
