To learn more, visit our website at hexagonagility.com. The Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for all processes and equipment. The group this Engineer is a member of is responsible for the day-to-day activities needed to keep the production line running. This includes interacting with, and giving guidance to, maintenance for repairing production equipment. This also includes interacting with Process Engineering for topics related to process and equipment design. The Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for the Work Instruction package for the area of responsibility and support training of people to the Work Instructions.

Responsibilities

  • Develop solutions for problems as related to new and existing products, processes, materials, equipment, and testing.
  • Participate in the execution of projects
  • Present findings in written reports and verbally in a group setting
  • Develop, implement, and monitor projects within stated performance guidelines
  • Interact with personnel on technical matters.
  • Work as a team member with other Manufacturing Engineers and Technicians.
  • Helps build processes and controls.
  • Write work instructions to support the manufacturing processes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, preferably Mechanical or Agricultural
  • Knowledge of material and process development
  • Knowledge of manufacturing and design of composites
  • Knowledge of design for cost and manufacturability
  • Knowledge of Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA)
  • Knowledge of regulations, codes, and standards
  • Knowledge of hydraulics and pneumatics
  • Knowledge of industrial sensors (pressure transducers, thermocouples, Load cells)
