Honda is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to join our team in Anna, Ohio. This position plays a crucial role in leading, creating, and implementing innovative technical activities and solutions in the areas of Mass Production, Business Plan, and Model. The goal is to efficiently meet or exceed targets related to Safety, Environment, Quality, Delivery, Cost, and Morale. As a Manufacturing Engineer, you will be at the forefront of our commitment to innovation and continuous improvement, ensuring that our manufacturing processes are optimized for performance and efficiency. In this role, you will effectively communicate with all levels of the organization to ensure a common understanding and direction. You will review and analyze daily reports to identify gaps in safety, quality, and delivery, developing potential countermeasures and conducting root cause analysis to drive continuous improvement. Utilizing data analysis and the PDCA (Plan-Do-Check-Act) methodology, you will lead and support the development of solutions in collaboration with various departments to solve complex problems. Your responsibilities will also include monitoring and managing equipment and processes to ensure optimal manufacturing performance while minimizing operating expenses. You will be responsible for developing the capabilities of yourself and your colleagues through training and mentoring, establishing priorities based on data analytics, and managing project implementation, schedules, budgets, and resource allocations to ensure successful completion of projects. Additionally, you will test, evaluate, and implement new technologies to improve overall equipment and process efficiency, while managing investment and expense budgets to achieve cost targets. This position requires a hands-on approach, as you will work in a production environment that necessitates the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and may involve working near hydraulic oils and other materials. The role is split between 50% office work and 50% manufacturing lineside activity, with the potential for overtime and weekend support as necessary.
