About the position

The Manufacturing Engineer at Danfoss is responsible for reviewing and developing methods and processes related to the manufacture and assembly of hydrostatic transmission hardware. This role focuses on ensuring efficiency and quality in manufacturing operations by utilizing advanced technology and engineering principles.

Responsibilities

• Working with the latest technology supporting assembly and testing operations of hydraulic pumps and motors, including advanced MES systems, robotics, and motion control.
• Ensuring maximum efficiency through proper workforce utilization, space management, and equipment layout designs.
• Analyzing and interpreting manufacturing-related data to assist shop personnel in solving tooling and process method problems.
• Developing processes and initiating tool designs to support cost-effective quality manufacture of hardware.
• Analyzing and reviewing current manufacturing methods and equipment to improve processes and achieve cost reduction savings.
• Demonstrating strong problem-solving abilities and effective communication skills across all levels of the organization.
• Responding to the needs of internal and external customers with commitment and sensitivity, promoting quality and continuous improvement.
• Evaluating situations objectively and making timely decisions to positively affect work performance.
• Maintaining a safe, clean, and orderly work area while following safety regulations.

Requirements

• BA/BS degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial Engineering, or Agricultural Engineering.
• 2 to 4 years of related experience or equivalent combination of experience and training.
• Ability to understand a range of engineering functions and procedures.
• Practical and logical approach to problem-solving.
• Strong interpersonal, presentation, and communication skills.
• Project management skills and ability to work to tight deadlines.
