About the position

The Manufacturing Engineer will support, troubleshoot, and analyze custom automation equipment used in the high-volume manufacture of medical devices. This role involves providing technical, engineering, and documentation support to ensure operational success within a large manufacturing facility.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and analyze new assembly line equipment.
• Support the development of the process FMEA and control plan for the new assembly process.
• Develop appropriate supporting documentation, SOPs, and work instructions compliant with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
• Collaborate with product and manufacturing engineering, equipment vendors, maintenance technicians, and operations leadership to troubleshoot process and equipment issues.
• Support line performance monitoring and lead practical problem-solving (PPS) projects to remediate systemic issues.

Requirements

• B.S. in Engineering or related field required.
• 2+ years of experience in manufacturing engineering, mechanical engineering, or related field.
• Hands-on troubleshooting experience with high-speed / high-volume automation equipment.
• Demonstrated interest and experience supporting manufacturing operations, troubleshooting automation equipment, and implementing process improvements.
