About the position

The Manufacturing Engineer at Otis Technology is responsible for developing, implementing, and optimizing manufacturing processes within a LEAN environment. This role focuses on improving efficiency, product flow, and cost reductions while ensuring quality standards are met. The engineer will oversee the New Product Development process and maintain the technical integrity of engineering documentation.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement cost-effective manufacturing processes and methods according to customer requirements and quality standards.
• Apply engineering concepts to improve efficiencies, ergonomics, and safety in manufacturing processes.
• Serve as the Process Owner of the New Product Development process.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements related to materials and safety data sheets.
• Provide hands-on technical support and training for manufacturing processes and personnel.
• Coordinate with Quality and Production departments to meet customer requirements and ensure manufacturability.
• Control engineering design documents, operating procedures, and work instructions according to quality management standards.
• Mentor and develop co-workers through collaboration.
• Work independently on multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.

Requirements

• BS in Engineering or Technical discipline; MBA or equivalent preferred.
• Proven track record in building teams and developing product and engineering strategic goals.
• Strong leadership skills and ability to work effectively across business units.
• Demonstrated advanced management and engineering skills.
• Proven experience in product and process research.
• Experience with Solidworks/Enterprise or equivalent software applications.
• Experience in plastic injection molding is a plus.

• Background in military service or outdoor/hunting activities preferred.
