KI has an immediate opening for a Manufacturing Engineer in our Plastic Injection Molding Department, at our Green Bay Manufacturing Facility. Our Plastics Manufacturing Engineer's primary responsibilities include production and quality support, continuous process improvement, maintaining molds, new product development, and material support. In addition, the position manages a group of process technicians across multiple shifts. This position will collaborate with other functional areas such as Engineering, Operations, Purchasing, and Automation for new product development and continuous improvement activities. Our Manufacturing Engineer will research plastic injection molding and provide suggestions as technology advances are made while monitoring existing equipment and processes.

Responsibilities

  • Provide production and quality support for plastic injection molding processes.
  • Implement continuous process improvement initiatives.
  • Maintain and repair molds used in production.
  • Support new product development efforts.
  • Collaborate with Engineering, Operations, Purchasing, and Automation teams.
  • Research advancements in plastic injection molding technology and suggest improvements.
  • Monitor existing equipment and processes to ensure optimal performance.
  • Manage a team of process technicians across multiple shifts.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Plastics Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.
  • Prior experience with plastics injection molding is preferred.
