About the position

The Manufacturing Engineer at Actalent is responsible for addressing complex manufacturing and quality issues within an ISO certified environment. This role requires a strong background in mechanical fabrication processes and involves supporting manufacturing operations, launching new products, and troubleshooting various manufacturing challenges.

Responsibilities

• Solve complex manufacturing and quality issues.
• Perform and analyze root causes of failures and create corrective action plans.
• Support drives manufacturing by maintaining product lines and launching new products.
• Troubleshoot manufacturing issues.
• Convert CAD files and understand specification drawings.
• Fix work instructions and update Engineering Change Orders (ECOs).
• Troubleshoot issues on the floor related to product quality or assembly issues.
• Create Bills of Materials for new products.
• Draft work instructions and assembly build instructions.
• Address and troubleshoot errors in assembly.
• Manage projects and implement capacity improvements.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering - Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Industrial.
• Minimum of 3+ years of engineering experience in an ISO certified manufacturing environment.
• Advanced knowledge of mechanical fabrication processes.
• Experience with tools such as 8D, 5-why analysis, and corrective actions.
• Ability to create jigs and fixtures.
• Proficiency in CAD drawing conversions and understanding specification drawings.
