This position requires close collaboration with various departments, including production supervision, production planning, purchasing, design engineering, and accounting, to drive improvements across the facility. The focus areas include safety risk mitigation, quality enhancements, new product development, delivery improvements, and cost reductions. Additionally, the manufacturing engineer will oversee capital improvement projects throughout the facility, ensuring that all processes align with the company's standards and objectives. In this role, the engineer will be responsible for planning and designing manufacturing processes within the industrial plant. This involves maximizing efficiency by analyzing the layout of equipment, workflow, assembly methods, and workforce utilization. The engineer will determine the necessary parts and tools to meet manufacturing goals according to product specifications. Furthermore, they will execute the manufacturing portions of the engineering change notification process, collaborating with buyers and planners to ensure a smooth transition of material and process changes. The manufacturing engineer will also be tasked with planning, designing, researching, and presenting approval documentation for manufacturing capital projects. Effective communication with Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain, and Vendors is essential to meet project timelines and maintain product quality to TimberPro standards. The role may also involve managing interns to support various manufacturing improvement projects, ensuring that all activities are documented and presented professionally.
