About the position
The Manufacturing Engineer position involves providing engineering support to manufacturing processes, focusing on continuous improvements and cost efficiencies. The role includes working on production lines during a manufacturing transfer, supporting new product introductions, and troubleshooting yield issues across multiple sites.
Responsibilities
- Provides engineering support to a manufacturing process, project, or function.
- Evaluates manufacturing outcomes and implements continuous improvements and cost efficiencies.
- Supports NPI and new equipment/process introductions.
- Works on production lines involved in a manufacturing transfer.
- Conducts disassembly and cleaning tasks at one facility and assembly, functional testing, and packaging at another.
- Investigates yield issues and troubleshoots processes across Chandler, Lakeland, and TJ sites.
- Reprocesses surgical devices and traces dips in yield back to the point of origin to develop countermeasures.
Requirements
- BS Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
- 3 - 5 years of experience
- Ability to troubleshoot simple electrical/mechanical systems
- Ability to work well in cross-functional team settings.
