About the position

The Manufacturing Engineer at Grundfos will focus on enhancing manufacturing methods and processes to improve quality, cost efficiency, and lead times. This role involves analyzing workforce utilization, space requirements, and workflow to optimize equipment and workspace layouts. The position is fully onsite at the Brookshire, TX facility and reports directly to the Engineering Manager.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with the manufacturing engineering strategy to achieve the best quality, costs, and lead times.
  • Maintain current set up sheets for all standard jobs.
  • Establish routings and standards for new parts or modified engineering parts.
  • Plan and execute tooling and fixture requirements for the shop while applying statistical methods to estimate future manufacturing requirements.
  • Provide training and corrective action to assure that the manufacturing engineering department meets the standards for quality and target manufacturing objectives.
  • Monitor daily production activities and implement lean processes.
  • Perform all work in compliance with company policies, procedures, legislation, regulations, and direction and identify and notify management of non-compliance situations.
  • Comply with the GCB Environmental, Health, and Safety Management System requirements.

Requirements

  • Engineering degree, preferably in industrial engineering.
  • Minimum of 2+ years as a Manufacturing Engineer in a high mix manufacturing environment.
  • Superior proficiency using PC based tools and proficiency using SAP, ERP and MRP Systems.
