About the position

The Manufacturing Engineer at Teamvantage will support the manufacturing facility in Forest Lake, MN, focusing on improving production processes and providing technical support. This role involves collaboration with various stakeholders to implement programs, develop enhanced procedures, and facilitate new product transfers, ensuring efficient manufacturing operations.

Responsibilities

  • Work as a liaison with program managers, customers, manufacturing, outside vendors, and secondary operations pertaining to implementation of programs in both molding and secondary operations.
  • Provide technical support and solutions to manufacturing processes.
  • Support development and design for insert molded parts and assemblies.
  • Facilitate and support facility, manufacturing, and secondary operations.
  • Develop enhanced procedures and instructions, fixtures, and equipment.
  • Assist in new product transfer from Program Managers to manufacturing and secondary operations.
  • Provide training as required.
  • Develop and implement poka-yoke mistake proof improvements and correction actions, as required.
  • Contribute to the purchase of new capital equipment by making recommendations and evaluating vendor proposals.
  • Use CAD software to determine tooling, equipment, and part design requirements.
  • Program and install programmable logic controllers for auxiliary equipment operations.
  • Other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Requirements

  • Preferred Bachelor's degree in related field or equivalent experience.
  • Valid identification and the ability to work legally in the United States.
  • Preferred 3-5 years experience as a manufacturing engineer in a Swiss precision machining or plastic injection molding and assembly environment.
  • Knowledge of engineering or technical operations including experience in product/engineering management; effective problem solving techniques; strong knowledge of blue print reading and familiarity with inspection equipment.
