About the position

The Manufacturing Engineering position at Lockheed Martin focuses on supporting the electronic assembly area in the production of complex circuit card assemblies. The role involves translating design requirements into comprehensive manufacturing instructions, providing hands-on support to manufacturing personnel, and collaborating with various engineering disciplines and program management to meet production goals. Responsibilities

• Translate design requirements into manufacturing instructions for complex circuit card assemblies.
• Provide daily hands-on support to manufacturing personnel in assembly processes.
• Read and analyze complex technical drawings and CAD models to create written and graphical instructions.
• Interface with engineering disciplines, program management, and manufacturing to achieve production goals.
• Participate in proposal activities and collaborate with project management to meet cost and schedule targets.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a related discipline or equivalent experience/combined education, with 2 years of professional experience; or no experience required with a related Master's degree.
• 2+ years of experience in an engineering role with a manufacturing operations focus.
• Experience using 3D CAD software (CREO preferred but not required).
• Ability to write technical instructions using blueprints, CAD models, and Mil-Spec information.
• Hands-on project or work experience.

Nice-to-haves

• Prior work experience related to circuit card manufacturing (SMT, wave solder, conformal coating, etc.).
• Familiarity with SAP MES.
• Experience with CorelDRAW.
• Experience with Zuken.
