About the position

The Manufacturing Engineer will be responsible for launching new vehicle and powertrain programs in North America assembly plants. This role involves overall program management and delivery of new vehicle programs, including issue resolution, quality assessments, fleet management, and budget oversight. The engineer will manage the transition of launch teams to the plant, oversee pre-production build events, and ensure the successful execution of vehicle testing and evaluations.

Responsibilities

• Launch new vehicle and powertrain programs in North America assembly plants.
• Manage overall program management and delivery of new vehicle programs.
• Conduct issue resolution and quality/status assessments.
• Oversee fleet (vehicle) management and budgets/timing.
• Manage the transition of launch teams to the plant.
• Coordinate pre-production build events and vehicle testing.
• Manage the pre-production drive fleet evaluation plan.
• Handle product development change approvals ahead of prototype builds.
• Act as gatekeeper for new model programs.
• Lead the build issues management process for the cross-functional program team.
• Co-chair meetings and drive part support issues to resolution for each pre-production build.
• Prepare and present new model program weekly assessment reports.
• Manage launch budget approval and execute elements controlled by new model programs.
