The Manufacturing Engineer plays a crucial role in the design, development, and evaluation of equipment, tooling, and test systems aimed at optimizing production and ensuring quality assurance for both industrial and consumer goods. This position involves overseeing the installation, operation, maintenance, and repair of manufacturing equipment, ensuring that all systems function efficiently and effectively. The Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for analyzing products and production systems, applying lean manufacturing principles to achieve continuous improvement, and reducing waste throughout the production process. In this role, the Manufacturing Engineer will collaborate closely with senior engineers to design or acquire the necessary manufacturing, tooling, test, or inspection equipment that will facilitate optimal production outcomes. The engineer will also be tasked with applying lean manufacturing techniques to enhance manufacturing efficiency and minimize waste. Additionally, the role includes determining, recommending, and implementing approved equipment upgrades to ensure that production capabilities remain at the forefront of industry standards. The Manufacturing Engineer will provide essential technical information and assistance in maintaining production machines and equipment, ensuring that all personnel are well-trained in the operation and proper care of these systems. This includes assisting in the training of production personnel and supporting other engineers with process improvements, layout changes, new product implementations, and quality improvement projects. Furthermore, the Manufacturing Engineer will play a key role in maintaining ISO quality standards across the plant, ensuring that all operations meet the required quality benchmarks.
