About the position

The Manufacturing Engineer is located at our Augusta, Arkansas office reporting to the Director of Manufacturing Engineering. The Manufacturing Engineer will work in a dynamic, challenging environment, leveraging your skills to bring people and products together in new and exciting ways. Additionally, The Manufacturing Engineer will plan, analyze and design manufacturing processes for touch free commercial plumbing systems.

Responsibilities

  • Research methods to maximize efficiency by analyzing layout of equipment, workflow, assembly methods, and work force utilization.
  • Assess/analyze equipment needed to achieve manufacturing goals that meet product specifications.
  • Perform quantitative analysis and research on engineering processes for Machine Shop Standard Operating Procedures (SOP).
  • Utilize integrative design manufacturing concepts to develop and lead the improvement of production process, including the design and procurement of fixtures, tools and capital equipment.
  • Provide project management, including general production floor support and collaborating with engineering teams.
  • Lead the continuous process improvement tracked by quality yields and standard labor costs.
  • Train others with new processes or products through visual aids.
  • Perform pressure decay testing and diaphragm testing, and perform quantitative decision making for the production of engineering prototypes, including time studies on new and existing product lines.
  • Perform Quality Management and Control, including decision-making to troubleshoot, develop, improve and maintain production processes for fixture design and development.

Requirements

  • Master of Science degree (or equivalent) in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering or a related engineering discipline such as Engineering Technology.
  • 1 year of experience with manufacturing engineering methods, including process improvement and automation.
  • Experience with manufacturing processes, including SAP, Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and statistical process control.
  • Knowledge of continuous improvement, quality control and safety measures.
  • Experience in mechanical fixture design, material design, data analysis, and troubleshooting production processes.
  • Experience in manufacturing engineering project management.
  • Experience with rubber compounding manufacturing.
  • Experience creating engineering processes for Machine Shop Standard Operating Procedures (SOP).
  • Proficiency in Word/Excel and CAD System.
