Manufacturing Engineer

About the position

The Manufacturing Engineer at GRAMMER will provide technical support for all aspects of production, focusing on processes such as injection molding, drilling operations, heat staking, welding, and assembly line operations. This role emphasizes continuous improvement and aims to optimize productivity and quality while adhering to customer specifications.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support for all aspects of production from design release forward.
• Review process controls and emphasize continuous improvement through Lean Manufacturing methodology and Kaizen activities.
• Participate in the development of cell layouts and set up reduction (SMED).
• Lead time reduction and improve productivity through waste reduction.
• Achieve product target cost and improved efficiency.
• Identify possible production problems for existing products within the scope of accountability.
• Determine project capital needs, launch strategies, project timing, and process flows.
• Establish labor and machine standards and propose plans for changes to processes, equipment, molds, and tooling.

Requirements

• Bachelor Degree in a technical field required.
• A minimum of 3 years experience in a similar role.
• Experience in the automotive industry is required.
• Product launch exposure is a plus.
• Injection molding and robotic experience (Fanuc) required.
