About the position

The Manufacturing Engineer at ChampionX is responsible for developing, evaluating, and enhancing manufacturing methods to improve production efficiency and quality. This role involves leveraging lean and continuous improvement principles, troubleshooting production issues, and collaborating with production teams to achieve the company's goals. Responsibilities

  • Develop, evaluate, and enhance manufacturing methods utilizing knowledge of product design, materials, and fabrication processes.
  • Leverage and implement lean/continuous improvement principles to solve problems and improve the worksite.
  • Support the company's goals of quality, performance, and delivery.
  • Develop and maintain manufacturing documentation, including work instructions and standard operating procedures.
  • Maintain reliable and safe manufacturing systems.
  • Troubleshoot production issues and implement corrective actions.
  • Improve production rates, efficiencies, yields, and changeovers.
  • Identify, develop, and deliver innovative solutions.
  • Analyze production data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
  • Work closely with production teams and other engineering teams.
  • Drive constant improvement in process capability and production volume while maintaining quality standards.
  • Participate in design reviews requiring critical thinking.
  • Willingness to work overtime when required.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
  • 2 years of experience in a manufacturing engineering role.

Nice-to-haves

  • Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes and systems, including machining, assembly, and testing.
  • Experience with process improvement methodologies such as Lean, Six Sigma, or Kaizen.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and CAD software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD).
  • Ability to communicate effectively and professionally with coworkers and internal customers.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong understanding of Statistical Process Control/Six Sigma.
  • Working knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
  • Skills using Microsoft Navision Dynamics and SolidWorks ePDM.
