About the position

The Manufacturing Engineer position involves creating innovative and efficient mechanical designs for defense and aerospace systems, including components, subsystems, and overall systems, using computer-aided design (CAD) software and other relevant tools. The role requires collaboration with interdisciplinary teams, conducting comprehensive analysis and simulations, planning and executing tests, ensuring compliance with regulations, and providing technical support to manufacturing teams. The position is contract-based for 4 months and requires a security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Create innovative and efficient mechanical designs for defense and aerospace systems using CAD software.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to integrate mechanical systems into larger platforms.
• Conduct comprehensive analysis and simulations to assess mechanical system performance.
• Plan and execute tests to evaluate functionality, reliability, and durability of mechanical components.
• Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, standards, and specifications.
• Prepare technical documentation, including design specifications and test plans.
• Provide technical support to manufacturing teams during the production process.
• Stay up to date with advancements in defense and aerospace technologies.
• Explore and propose innovative solutions to improve system performance.
• Collaborate with project managers to define project requirements and milestones.
• Monitor project progress and ensure timely completion of tasks.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or higher degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• Previous experience in mechanical design and development, preferably in the defense or aerospace industry.
• Knowledge of defense and aerospace regulations, standards, and systems.
• Proficiency in CAD software (such as SolidWorks, CATIA, or AutoCAD) and engineering analysis tools.
• Strong understanding of mechanical principles, materials, and manufacturing processes.
• Ability to conduct thorough analysis, simulations, and evaluations of mechanical systems.
• Aptitude for identifying and resolving complex mechanical engineering problems.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Meticulous approach to design, documentation, and testing processes.
• Ability to thrive in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
• Experience in design of RF enclosures and chip and wire processes.
