About the position

The Manufacturing Engineer position at C&H Precision involves the design, process formulation, and manufacturing of products. The role requires a team-oriented individual with a strong passion for the company's success and growth, focusing on continuous improvement and efficiency in manufacturing processes.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate manufacturing processes based on quality criteria, such as efficiency and manufacturability.
  • Design and create 3D models for new products as well as drawings and CNC programs.
  • Determine problem resolutions and implement continuous improvement to reduce costs and maximize quality.
  • Study production and machine requirements and develop ideas and methods for cycle time improvement.
  • Identify production equipment needs and manage the layout and installation for maximum efficiency.
  • Troubleshoot manufacturing equipment to maintain consistent production levels.
  • Organize and manage manufacturing workflows and resources such as work instructions, setup sheets, and SOPs.
  • Resolve issues and delays in production with a high sense of urgency.
  • Train staff in new and existing processes.
  • Ensure manufacturing procedures follow safety and environmental regulations.
  • Identify opportunities to upgrade systems, software, and machinery to the latest technological standards.
  • Keep production costs down while exceeding quality standards set by the QA department.
  • Collaborate with fellow engineers and designers to identify and resolve problems to improve product performance and reliability.
  • Manage multiple projects and conflicting priorities.
  • Evaluate manufactured products according to specifications and quality standards.
  • Analyze statistical data and product specifications to determine standards and establish quality and reliability objectives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical, Systems, Mechanical, Aeronautical Engineering or equivalent education and experience.
  • CNC programming/machining experience required.
  • Well versed in Fusion 360 CAD/CAM software.
  • Mastercam software experience is a plus.
  • Strong analytical skills and excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Strong work ethic with attention to detail.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Relevant technological knowledge.
  • Ability to lead and work independently.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Working knowledge of ASME Y14.5 Dimensioning and Tolerancing and application of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
  • Proficient in MS Word, Excel, and Windows-based software as well as web-based applications.
