About the position

Anduril Industries is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to join our dynamic Manufacturing team, which is responsible for rapidly iterating and building cutting-edge defense hardware. This includes a variety of equipment such as static equipment, moving ground equipment, and flight vehicles. The Manufacturing Engineer will play a crucial role in the manufacturing value chain, which encompasses Design for Manufacturability work, tool design and selection, process creation and optimization, vendor sourcing and interaction, quality planning, and the documentation associated with the hardware they oversee. The ideal candidate will demonstrate holistic ownership in solving technical challenges with creative, physical solutions, either through personal manufacturing experience or by overseeing manufacturing processes in a fast-paced, resource-limited environment. This role requires a proactive approach to developing novel tooling solutions for fabrication and assembly of structural parts, as well as breaking down complex assemblies into logical part flows and sub-processes. The Manufacturing Engineer will also be responsible for writing necessary documentation for successful large-scale manufacturing, including work instructions and quality plans. In addition, the Manufacturing Engineer will collaborate with contract manufacturers across various disciplines to develop repeatable processes for quick-turn development and large-scale production. Hands-on work with technicians and other engineers to build prototype hardware is also a key aspect of this role. The position may require travel to suppliers for initial sourcing, resolving ongoing production issues, and implementing quality procedures, making it essential for the candidate to be adaptable and resourceful.

  • Work with technicians and other engineers hands-on, building prototype hardware
  • Contribute to end-customer hardware mechanical or electrical design, including interconnects, board fabrication and inspection, etc.
