About the position

The Manufacturing Engineer at Globus Medical is responsible for engineering tasks within the manufacturing department, focusing on improving production efficiency and product quality. This role involves setting up and operating production equipment, troubleshooting programs, and validating processes under the guidance of senior engineers. The engineer will collaborate with department managers and operators to ensure high standards of quality and throughput in manufacturing operations.

Responsibilities

  • Follows the Company's policies and procedures
  • Applies machine programming skills learned
  • Sets up and operates production equipment for troubleshooting and process validation
  • Writes IQ, OQ & PQ protocols compliant with existing SOPs with assistance from senior personnel
  • Assists in the development of Engineering Technician I & II skillset
  • Provides suggestions on improving product quality and throughput
  • Performs work in accordance with company standards including safety and good housekeeping practices
  • Ensures compliance with applicable laws and regulations
  • Represents the company professionally and ethically in all interactions

Requirements

  • Machining technology degree or mechanical engineering degree, or a minimum of two years of hands-on experience as a Manufacturing Engineer
  • Capable of utilizing CAM software and tooling knowledge to create CNC programs
  • Understanding of operations within the manufacturing discipline
  • Ability to utilize inspection equipment to verify products
  • Ability to work under the guidance of a Manufacturing Engineer II or Senior Manufacturing Engineer
  • Capable of executing project functions independently
  • Well organized with the ability to multi-task
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Self-starter with advanced critical thinking and problem-solving skills

  • Experience in the medical device manufacturing industry
  • Familiarity with regulatory compliance in medical manufacturing
