About the position

The Manufacturing Engineer at Actalent is responsible for designing products that meet management specifications while ensuring optimum manufacturability and minimal risk. This role involves collaborating with manufacturing teams to develop methods for the entire manufacturing process, programming engineering-related software, and controlling engineering documents. The engineer will also assess design soundness, troubleshoot installation issues, and manage projects effectively.

Responsibilities

• Design products that meet management specifications with optimum manufacturability and minimal risk.
• Collaborate with Manufacturing to develop methods for the entire manufacturing process.
• Program engineering-related software to integrate customer inputs for manufacturing purposes.
• Control internal and customer-supplied drawings, specifications, and other engineering-related documents.
• Assess stress calculations, soundness of design, manufacturability, and risk.
• Troubleshoot installment issues with all manufactured products.
• Understand automation and product configuration.
• Manage projects effectively.

Requirements

• Experience with SolidWorks for design.
• Ability to assess stress calculations, soundness of design, manufacturability, and risk.
• Proficiency in troubleshooting installment issues with all manufactured products.
• Understanding of automation and product configuration.
• Project management skills.
• Knowledge of SQL, DriveWorks, and Variable Driven.

Nice-to-haves

• Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university, or a minimum of five years of experience in engineering or a related field.
