About the position

The Manufacturing Engineer position at Curtiss-Wright involves assisting in the design, integration, and improvement of manufacturing systems and processes. The role focuses on developing efficient systems and tooling to produce high-quality products that meet customer requirements. The engineer will work under general supervision to recommend improvements for maximum efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and quality in manufacturing processes.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the design, integration, or improvement of manufacturing systems or related processes.
  • Develop efficient systems, processes, and tooling for high-quality product output.
  • Perform operational or methods analyses regarding manufacturing process flow and work instructions.
  • Assist with evaluations of engineering changes and specifications requirements.
  • Coordinate with design engineering for the release of new or existing products and review engineering drawings.
  • Plan, coordinate, and execute simple manufacturing engineering activities with guidance.
  • Document, report, and present technical findings and analyses.
  • Assist with the design of experiments and data collection for problem resolution.
  • Act as a technical liaison with design, quality, procurement, inspection, and production teams.
  • Maintain records and reporting systems for manufacturing operations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science in Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering.
  • 3 years of experience in manufacturing engineering.
  • Knowledge of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing).
  • Ability to create models and drawings, present design reviews, and perform trade studies.
  • Capable of coordinating multiple project responsibilities.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to perform analysis in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite.
  • Must be a US sole citizen and able to obtain and maintain DOD security clearance.
