About the position

The Manufacturing Engineer position involves developing and implementing manufacturing processes, procedures, and production layouts for various assemblies and equipment. The role requires collaboration in a model-based engineering environment and focuses on operational excellence through performance evaluation and corrective actions. The engineer will also provide input on product design to optimize manufacturing techniques and will be responsible for hands-on support on the production floor.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement manufacturing processes, procedures, and production layouts for assemblies and equipment.
  • Define operations procedures and build sequences to drive operational excellence.
  • Evaluate performance of equipment and tools, investigating and initiating corrective actions for deficiencies.
  • Provide input to product design regarding design concepts and specification requirements.
  • Work within a model-based engineering environment (3DX/iBASEt).
  • Perform periodic travel as required.

Requirements

  • Active Secret Clearance with investigation in the last 5 years or Continuous Evaluation enrollment.
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field (Preferred STEM Degree) with 14-16 years of experience.
  • Experience in aircraft sub-systems assembly and integration.
  • Hands-on production floor support and interface with touch-labor employees.
  • Experience in reviewing and redlining engineering technical drawings and models.

Nice-to-haves

  • Wire harness and interconnect installation/integration.
  • Familiarity with aircraft fuel systems.
  • Experience in development/prototype/first article program support.
  • Testing of aircraft sub-systems.
  • Knowledge of metallic part machining.
  • Experience with 3DX and Catia V5 software.
  • Proficiency in GD&T.
  • Experience with composite fabrication and assembly.
  • Working with CNC Machine Operators.
