About the position

The Manufacturing Engineer position is an entry-level role focused on developing and optimizing manufacturing processes within the aerospace industry. The engineer will work on designing production layouts, ensuring compliance with regulations, and improving equipment efficiency. This role involves collaboration with engineering teams to enhance design concepts and manufacturing techniques, ultimately contributing to product quality and performance.

Responsibilities

• Develop manufacturing processes applicable to statistical process control.
• Provide guidance to engineering regarding design concepts and specification requirements.
• Ensure processes and procedures comply with regulations.
• Design manufacturing processes, procedures, and production layouts for various operations.
• Design arrangement of machines within plant facilities for efficiency.
• Specify procedures for fabrication of tools and equipment affecting product performance.
• Adapt machine or equipment design to factory and production conditions.
• Incorporate inspection and test requirements into the production plan.
• Inspect performance of machinery, equipment, and tools to verify efficiency and initiate corrective actions.

Requirements

• Minimum of a BS in Mechanical, Aerospace, or Manufacturing Engineering.
• 2 years of experience required in manufacturing engineering.
• Thorough mechanically/electrically oriented manufacturing engineering experience, ideally in the Aerospace industry.
• Experience in technical manufacturing engineering, solving problems, or responsible roles.
• Completion of a significant manufacturing engineering project, ideally leading a team.

Nice-to-haves

• Green belt or black belt certification in problem-solving.
