About the position

This position is based in Kent, WA, and is integral to our mission of solving the world's greatest engineering challenges. As a Manufacturing Engineer, you will be responsible for managing and engineering new aerospace assemblies from inception through shipping. This role requires a strong mechanical or aerospace engineering background, with a focus on manufacturing processes and problem-solving skills. In this position, you will conceptualize and analyze multiple alternatives and solutions to engineering problems, design both the parts and the associated manufacturing processes, and collaborate with customers, suppliers, and various levels of personnel within the organization. You will interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and GD&T, and design and coordinate less complex exotic manufacturing processes. Additionally, you will plan or improve production methods, estimate production times, and troubleshoot manufacturing processes. Responsibilities

  • Interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and GD&T.
  • Design and coordinate less complex exotic manufacturing processes.
  • Plan or improve less complex production methods including production flow, tooling, assembly methods, and production equipment.
  • Estimate production times of less complex manufacturing processes, hardware, and tooling.
  • Effectively work with customers, suppliers, and all levels of shop and management personnel.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Manufacturing Engineering or equivalent Degree in Mechanical Engineering with a bias towards manufacturing. Equivalent experience considered in lieu of degree.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Basic technical problem-solving skills.
  • Strong computer software skills and utilization of Exotic Systems (TeamCenter, XA/Browser, TipQA, etc.).
  • Detail-oriented.
  • Minimal project management experience.
  • Basic CAD skills.
