About the position

The Manufacturing Engineering Associate Manager will oversee the manufacturing engineering support for production programs within the Missiles and Fire Control team in Ocala, FL. This role involves managing dedicated manufacturing engineers, ensuring resources are allocated effectively, and driving continuous improvement in production processes to meet program and customer requirements.

Responsibilities

• Manage program dedicated manufacturing engineers and provide overarching program manufacturing support.
• Ensure resources are assigned appropriately to support production programs.
• Support program and mission area corrective action boards and manufacturing initiatives.
• Create and execute strategies for continuous improvement of production processes.
• Manage overall headcount of programs being supported.
• Implement and execute processes and procedures in production engineering.
• Conduct briefings and technical meetings for internal and external representatives.
• Collaborate as an active member of an Integrated Product Team with Production Operations, Engineering and Technology, PP&C, and Program Management.

Requirements

• Must be a U.S. Citizen and have the ability to obtain a DoD Secret Clearance.
• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college.
• Experience in the manufacturing of electronics, harness, electromechanical, or electro-optical assemblies.
• Willingness to work alternate shifts.
• Previous leadership experience.

• Experienced with Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Access, Word, Excel, Teams)
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Knowledge of Lean manufacturing concepts and techniques
• CREO, SolidWorks or equivalent CAD software experience.
