The Manufacturing Engineering Associate role at a Strongsville manufacturing company involves providing technical support for project cost estimations and assisting with vendor interactions. The position requires collaboration with various partners and vendors, as well as logistical support related to incoming materials and parts.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support for project cost estimations.
• Seek out additional partners and vendors such as steel vendors, paint suppliers, and machine shops.
• Support the PR submittal process and Material Master creation in SAP.
• Address technical questions from vendors during the quotation process.
• Provide logistic support related to incoming materials and parts as needed.

Requirements

• Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Chemical, Mechanical, etc.).
• 1-2 years' experience within an engineering discipline in a project-oriented role.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
• Experience with machining and manufacturing of chemical process equipment preferred.
• Knowledge of logistics including regulations, export control, and incoterms preferred.
• Familiarity with CAD/Solid-Edge and database software (i.e. SmarTeam) preferred.
• Experience with scheduling software (MS-Project/CA PPM) preferred.
• Experience with SAP-System software preferred.
• Good communication skills (written & verbal).
• Good organizational skills.
• Ability to work well in a team environment.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with machining and manufacturing of chemical process equipment.
• Knowledge of logistics (regulations, export control, incoterms, packing, etc.).
• Familiarity with CAD/Solid-Edge and database software (i.e. SmarTeam).
