About the position

The Manufacturing Engineering Intern position at Post Consumer Brands offers a 12-week immersive internship experience for students pursuing a degree in Engineering or a related field. The role is designed to provide hands-on experience in a manufacturing environment, allowing interns to collaborate with experienced engineers on various projects aimed at improving safety, quality, and efficiency in the production of cereal products. Interns will have the opportunity to work on capital projects, provide engineering support, and contribute to operational improvements while being part of a mission-driven organization that values diversity and inclusion.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in several projects and/or operations support roles in the Engineering department.
  • Lead small to mid-size capital projects.
  • Coordinate with internal and external resources for engineering activities.
  • Provide engineering support to help the plant run effectively.
  • Ensure meaningful and accurate data from people and process instrumentation.
  • Implement cost reduction changes to assigned areas of focus.

Requirements

  • Pursuing a four-year undergraduate or graduate degree in Engineering or a related field, graduating December 2025 or May 2026.
  • Proven leadership, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and in teams.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • High level of competence in computer applications and technology as a decision-support tool.
  • Ability to handle confidential information and use discretion.

Nice-to-haves

  • Previous internship or work experience in a related field (strongly preferred).
  • Interest in the consumer packaged goods/manufacturing industry with a desire to start a career with Post Consumer Brands after graduation (strongly preferred).
