About the position
The Manufacturing Engineering Manager at Sunny Sky Products is responsible for overseeing the manufacturing operations to ensure safety, efficiency, and premium quality standards. This role involves collaboration with various department managers and leading process improvement initiatives while managing a team of engineers and maintenance staff.
Responsibilities
- Oversee long-term direction of the plant maintenance department.
- Develop and implement manufacturing processes to maintain safety and cost efficiency.
- Lead project management efforts for new equipment and improvements on existing equipment.
- Lead process improvement initiatives within the production and warehouse departments.
- Drive equipment uptime improvements through concentrated efforts for maintenance efficiency.
- Manage project budgets and timelines.
- Supervise two direct reports: Manufacturing Process Engineer and Maintenance Manager.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
- 5+ years of manufacturing engineering experience.
- 2+ years in a leadership/management role.
- Excellent communication and coaching skills.
- Strong commitment to food safety.
- Experience with Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint).
