About the position

The Engineering Manager will lead the development, growth, and execution of the engineering team within the plant, focusing on enhancing plant-level efficiencies and improvements. This newly created position is crucial for an automotive supplier specializing in molding, painting, and assembly, and involves managing engineering and manufacturing activities to optimize operations.

Responsibilities

• Leading a team primarily consisting of manufacturing engineering personnel focused on plant-level efficiencies and improvements.
• Defining, sourcing, and implementing new technologies, materials, and equipment.
• Providing expertise in best practices to improve overall plant operations.
• Managing supporting activities for Engineering and Manufacturing, including 5S and Lean manufacturing activities, material handling improvements, production line configuration, and safety procedures.
• Aiding sales in cost estimation and feasibility of new products.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or ten years of relevant work experience is required.
• 5 years of engineering leadership experience in an automotive environment.
• Strong understanding of advanced practices in plastic injection molding.
• Experience in Injection Molding, Painting, and Assembly of components preferred.
