About the position

The Manufacturing Engineering Technician - 2nd Shift plays a crucial role in supporting manufacturing processes and equipment at Bradford White Corporation. This position involves a variety of technical tasks, including troubleshooting, calibration, and programming of machines, ensuring optimal performance and efficiency in production operations.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the calibration testing, set up, and repair of various controls, instruments and gauges measuring variables within the manufacturing process
• Monitor equipment performance and adjust setups, calibrations, and alignments
• Help with the evaluation and diagnosis of root causes and may take immediate action to further resolve a problem
• Identify opportunities for improvement and commonization
• Work with facilities, operations, maintenance, and vendors to prepare for equipment installation
• Perform PLC, Welding, & Robotic troubleshooting
• Track data associated with production equipment and report any inconsistencies
• Read & interpret electrical prints

Requirements

• Technical degree preferred
• 2-4 years of practical experience in a manufacturing environment
• High degree of self-motivation and the ability to work independently
• Ability to multi-task
• Strong interpersonal skills in facilitation, negotiation, and conflict resolution
• Aptitude in one or more of the following: machine controls, robotics, electrical circuitry, or mechanized/automated welding
• Strong communication skills and team focus
