About the position

As a Manufacturing Engraver at Florence Corporation, you will play a crucial role in the production process by manually fastening mailbox doors to the engraving table and utilizing a computer and other electronic equipment to custom engrave letters and numbers onto mailbox doors. This position requires a keen attention to detail and the ability to follow specific instructions to ensure that each engraving meets the quality standards set by the company. You will be responsible for accurately entering data and programming custom orders into the computer system, which is essential for maintaining the workflow and meeting production deadlines. In addition to engraving, you will observe the machinery in action, troubleshooting and resolving any issues that may arise during the engraving process. This requires a strong understanding of the equipment used and the ability to learn and adapt to new operations. Physical stamina is necessary, as you will be required to stand, lift, and bend for up to 10 hours per shift. You will also be tasked with organizing and recording inventory of products and orders, ensuring that all materials are accounted for and readily available for production. Cleaning and maintaining the equipment and machines is another critical aspect of this role, as it ensures the longevity and efficiency of the machinery. You will need to follow verbal and written work instructions, read and interpret prints and routers, and understand the quality requirements to monitor production effectively. A willingness to learn new operations, be cross-trained, and rotate jobs as needed is essential for success in this position. Other tasks may be assigned as necessary, contributing to a dynamic and collaborative work environment.
