About the position

The Equipment Engineer at Qorvo is responsible for the ownership and sustainment of specific tool sets essential for daily operations. This role emphasizes continuous improvement in hardware and maintenance processes while providing training and support to maintenance technicians. The engineer will collaborate with cross-functional teams and interface with vendors for tool installations and upgrades, ensuring operational efficiency and effectiveness.

Responsibilities

• Ownership as equipment engineer of a specific tool set for sustainment of daily operations
• Drive continuous improvement activities on hardware, maintenance, and overall operation
• Train and support maintenance technicians
• Work with and lead cross functional team of process engineering, maintenance, and production
• Interface with vendors and contractors for new tool installation, upgrades, and qualification

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline or equivalent military / field experience
• Collaborative, team player, working effectively in small teams to drive improvements
• Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint proficiency required
• Strong communication skills to convey technical instructions and concepts, both verbally and written
• Ability to collect and analyze data is desired
• Able to navigate multiple projects and flexible to changing priorities

• Experience with any of the following equipment/tools is desired: ASML, Vacuum Systems, Photolithography
