About the position

Polytek Development Corp. is a leading manufacturer of mold making and casting materials. Polytek is currently looking for a highly motivated, experienced, and extremely organized individual to join our rapidly expanding company.

Responsibilities

• Prepare work by following assembly instructions and parts lists; gathering parts, tools, and materials.
• Verify labels and packaging requirements.
• Resolve issues with assembly or packaging instructions in collaboration with team members and supervisor.
• Maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
• Cross-train on multiple pieces of equipment.
• Operate assigned bottling equipment.
• Perform basic set-up and start-up of line equipment.
• Conduct basic preventative maintenance and troubleshooting of assigned bottling equipment.
• Compile and update process data, specifications, and repair and test procedures.
• Use real-time database to monitor/input data and track performance of equipment and production activities.
• Conserve resources by using equipment and supplies as needed to accomplish job results.
• Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
• Assist with labeling, packaging, and boxing goods preparing them for shipping.
• Understand hazards of products through company-provided training and reading Safety Data Sheets and labels.
• Wear proper personal protective equipment (e.g., gloves and safety glasses) and follow all provided safety rules.
• Report safety concerns immediately to your supervisor.
• Follow all rules set forth in Polytek's Employee Policy Manual.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Must be able to understand, speak, write and read English.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• One year manufacturing experience preferred; on-the-job training to be provided.
• Reasonable analytical skills.
• Proficient with simple math, problem solving and troubleshooting skills.
• In-depth knowledge of and experience on the line that they will be operating.
• Forklift experience preferred.
• Ability to effectively manage time and follow directions.
• Willingness and ability to train an Assembler II.
• Basic computer experience.
