About the position

In this role, you will be responsible for managing a portfolio of customers to ensure they receive the expected value from our products. This involves translating customer requirements into specific product features and communicating these needs to the product team to enhance our product capabilities. You will also be tasked with identifying expansion opportunities within existing customer accounts, aiming to upgrade and expand our offerings across different product lines. Your responsibilities will include managing projects from start to finish, collaborating with global players in the manufacturing sector, and serving as a key liaison between domain expertise and software development teams. The position may require travel to various manufacturing plants across North America, including locations in the United States, Mexico, and Canada. As a representative of our company, you will need to effectively communicate with management-level personnel, ensuring that their needs are met while also advocating for our product solutions. Your role will be pivotal in bridging the gap between customer expectations and our technical capabilities, ensuring that we deliver exceptional value and foster long-term relationships with our clients.

Responsibilities

  • Manage a portfolio of customers to ensure delivery of expected value from the product.
  • Translate customer requirements into product features and communicate these to the product team.
  • Identify and pursue expansion opportunities with customers to upgrade and expand product lines.
  • Manage projects end-to-end involving global players in manufacturing.
  • Serve as a liaison between domain expertise and software development teams.
  • Travel to various manufacturing plants across North America as required.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in any engineering field.
  • At least 2 years of experience working on automation lines in the automotive manufacturing industry.
  • Good understanding of processes, controls architecture, and programming of automation lines.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented with a strong ability to solve complex problems.
  • Dynamic, extroverted, and energetic personality to build relationships with management-level personnel.
  • Ability to anticipate resistance and prepare data to overcome it.
  • Data-driven problem solver with logical thinking.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience handling automotive customers, especially OEMs and Tier 1 suppliers.
  • Hands-on experience with controls programming for automotive lines (PLC/CNC/Robot).
  • Enthusiasm for start-ups and fast-paced work environments.
