About the position

The Manufacturing Execution Systems Engineer at MindSource plays a crucial role in supporting the Hillsboro Technical Operations (HTO) for Genentech. This position focuses on recipe authoring and software development for Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) in a drug product manufacturing facility. The engineer will be involved in troubleshooting, compliance, and the development of solutions to enhance production and operational processes.

Responsibilities

  • Manufacturing Execution System (MES) recipe authoring and software development.
  • Troubleshooting plant floor MES execution and business system integration issues.
  • Ensuring compliance with corporate and site business processes, valid design principles, and quality procedures.
  • Developing, reviewing, approving, and executing qualification test plans.
  • Implementing production tech transfer requirements into automation IT systems.
  • Contributing to the development of solutions for reporting, production, and operational analysis tools.
  • Enhancing recipe procedures, batch review/release, equipment automation integration, and business system integration.
  • Optimizing departmental and site business processes.
  • Developing supply chain network MES standards and best practices.
  • Consulting with Business Process owners in the Value Streams.
  • Providing MES Recipe Authoring knowledge to Projects/Squads for MES Projects and process improvement initiatives.

Requirements

  • Experience with Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) such as Syncade and PharmaSuite.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills for plant floor MES execution and business system integration.
  • Knowledge of corporate and site business processes, design principles, and quality procedures.
  • Experience in developing qualification test plans and executing them.
  • Understanding of production tech transfer requirements and automation IT systems.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in drug product manufacturing processes.
  • Familiarity with compliance and regulatory requirements in the pharmaceutical industry.
  • Knowledge of supply chain network standards and best practices.
