About the position

Terumo Medical Corporation (TMC) is seeking a Manufacturing Expeditor to join our team in Elkton, MD. This position is crucial for controlling all material movement and inventory within our manufacturing environment. The Manufacturing Expeditor will work independently under minimal supervision, but will consult with supervisors when questions or issues arise. The role involves managing materials across various departments, ensuring compliance with applicable national and international regulations, and maintaining accurate documentation of all inventory activities. The associate will be responsible for opening and closing manufacturing orders using our computer systems, and ensuring that all products are processed, packaged, labeled, and palletized according to established standards. This includes the maintenance and operation of processing, packaging, and material handling equipment, which may involve hand packing. A clean and safe work area is essential, and the associate will participate in team meetings to provide input on quality, productivity, efficiency, and other performance metrics. The Manufacturing Expeditor must adhere to TMC's Quality System requirements, which encompass process controls, inspection procedures, document control, and change control practices. The position requires gowning procedures for a controlled environment and involves working around high-speed machinery, necessitating a strong focus on safety to prevent accidents. The role also demands strong mathematical and record-keeping skills, as well as the ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing. Physical requirements include the ability to lift up to 50 lbs individually and up to 100 lbs with assistance, along with continuous standing, walking, and frequent bending. Responsibilities
