A manufacturing company of 150-250 employees is seeking a dedicated and experienced Human Resources Specialist to join our team. This role requires fluency in English and Spanish to support our diverse workforce effectively. The ideal candidate will handle all HR-related activities, ensure compliance with company policies and legal requirements, and provide top-notch support to our employees. This is a direct hire position that offers a competitive salary starting from $110,000 per year. In this role, the Human Resources Specialist will serve as a liaison between employees and management, addressing concerns, mediating disputes, and ensuring a positive work environment. The specialist will assist in the recruitment process by posting job ads, screening candidates, conducting interviews, and coordinating onboarding activities. It is essential to ensure that all HR policies and procedures are consistently applied and understood across the organization. The responsibilities also include managing employee benefits programs, such as health insurance, retirement plans, and leave policies, while assisting employees with benefits-related inquiries. The specialist will manage and process bi-weekly payroll, coordinate and deliver training sessions to support employee development, and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and internal policies. Maintaining accurate employee records, including personnel files, attendance, and performance reviews, is also a critical part of this role. Additionally, the specialist will translate HR documents and communications into Spanish to ensure all employees can access important information.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) is required.
  • 2-4 years of experience in Human Resources or a similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of HR principles, employment laws, and regulations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
  • Strong problem-solving and conflict-resolution skills.
