About the position

We are seeking an experienced Industrial Painter to join our team. As an Industrial Painter, you will be responsible for applying paint and other coatings to various surfaces in a manufacturing environment. This is a hands-on role that requires attention to detail and the ability to work with a variety of tools and equipment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, and masking as necessary
• Mix paints and coatings according to specifications
• Apply paint and coatings using various methods such as brush, roller, or airless spray
• Ensure proper coverage and finish quality
• Monitor drying times and make adjustments as needed
• Clean and maintain painting equipment and tools
• Follow safety guidelines and maintain a clean work area

Requirements

• Previous experience as an Industrial Painter or similar role
• Knowledge of painting techniques, materials, and equipment
• Familiarity with Lean manufacturing principles is a plus
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints or work instructions
• Proficient in the use of hand tools and power tools
• Basic math skills for measuring and mixing paint quantities
• Experience with airless paint spraying is highly desired
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team

Nice-to-haves

• Forklift certification is preferred but not required
