About the position

ATI is seeking a Learning & Development (L&D) Specialist to join our Forged Products team at our facility located in Cudahy, WI. The L&D Specialist will play a critical role in supporting ATI's commitment to provide our employees opportunities to learn and grow, including high impact, high visibility programs. In this fast-paced role, a successful L&D Specialist will be able to effectively manage multiple projects and complete tasks with outstanding attention to detail. It is crucial to build strong relationships and work collaboratively with internal employees, external business partners, and subject matter experts. A strong L&D Specialist is also resourceful, proactive, a self-starter and works with a strong desire and energy in helping ensure the success of our programs and initiatives. This role may require some travel to our business unit locations to help coordinate on-site training programs.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to support the execution of ATI's Leadership Development Programs from kick-off through graduation
  • Deliver training sessions across various processes and levels, using a variety of methods and tools, such as classroom training, e-learning, and on-the-job training
  • Design, develop and maintain training materials, including manuals, job aids and presentations or other necessary documentation, as directed
  • Act as Administrator for ATI's Learning Management System (LMS), and provide regular reports on metrics to support decision making
  • Work with leader on instructional systems Design to provide world class learning agenda for the organization
  • Coordinate logistics for training events, including identifying venues, securing necessary space, setting up equipment and materials, planning meals and refreshments, etc.
  • Provide support to other programs & initiatives to enable ATI's learning & development strategy, including engineering, intern and school programs.

Requirements

  • A bachelor's degree in human resources, organizational development, business or related field with at least two years experience is required
  • In lieu of a degree, at least 7 years of work experience in a Learning Management role
  • Technical acumen and prior experience working with Learning Management Systems
  • Knowledge in Education Technology- combining Education and Manufacturing practices to drive learning outcomes
  • Knowledge and experience in Instructional Systems Design
  • Excellent oral, verbal and written communication skills with strong public speaking and presentation skills
  • Demonstrated project management skills
  • Strong ability to work effectively and collaboratively with a variety of cross-functional teams, employees, and subject matter experts
  • Ability to organize events with large groups of hands-on participants
  • Excellent project management and organizational skills
  • Good project management skills - ability to develop project plans and manage to project deliverables and milestones.
  • Strong process orientation - able to create workable process solutions that meet the needs of various stakeholders.
  • Exceptional skills in Microsoft Office, especially Excel (experience using VLOOKUP, PivotTables, and charts).
  • Flexibility to travel to various ATI Business Unit locations to support programs

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience facilitating formal training sessions with small or large groups delivered in-person or virtually
  • Prior experience working in Human Resources, specifically in a learning and development focused role
  • Prior experience with planning and coordinating events/training programs
  • Prior experience as an Administrator of Learning Management System (LMS) (such as Cornerstone)
  • Experience working at or in support of a manufacturing organization
