About the position

The Manufacturing Maintenance Technician position at TS Trim Industries involves diagnosing and repairing equipment processes to minimize downtime and enhance manufacturing efficiency. The role requires a blend of technical skills, including electrical and mechanical knowledge, to support the production of automobile interior components. The technician will work on preventative maintenance and contribute to process improvements while adhering to safety and quality standards.

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose equipment processes and problems to reduce downtime.
  • Perform equipment repairs and preventative maintenance.
  • Improve manufacturing processes and part quality through material or process improvements.
  • Introduce new technology and innovation for new models.
  • Assist in improving/reducing QI points through Kaizen activities.
  • Maintain knowledge of ISO Procedures 9000 and 1400.
  • Read and understand technical drawings and schematics.
  • Perform problem analysis and resolution using methods like 5Ps and TTRs.
  • Respond to production line calls and perform snow removal as needed.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 1 year of experience with programmable logic controllers (PLC).
  • 1 year of mechanical knowledge and troubleshooting experience.
  • Knowledge of electrical systems, hydraulics, welding, and pneumatics preferred.
  • Ability to read and understand schematics and diagrams.
  • Good communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to work independently under general supervision.
  • Flexibility to work overtime on short notice.

Nice-to-haves

  • Three years of experience in electrical, hydraulics, welding, and pneumatics.
  • Knowledge of Ladder Logic and PLC programming.
  • Experience with machine shop equipment and National Electric Code regulations.
