About the position

The Manufacturing Manager at Signicast is responsible for providing leadership and direction to the plant, ensuring the effective utilization of resources to meet production objectives while maintaining quality and cost parameters. This role involves driving continuous improvement initiatives, managing safety compliance, and overseeing the performance of the manufacturing team under the guidance of the Operations Manager.

Responsibilities

  • Provide managerial leadership and direction to the Plant/Module.
  • Maximize capital and human resource utilization to meet production objectives.
  • Drive change management initiatives and implement continuous improvement processes.
  • Act as a safety leader and ensure compliance with safety and health guidelines.
  • Meet or exceed company performance metrics and make informed decisions for manufacturing activities.
  • Manage environmental health and safety compliance.
  • Develop and manage capital and operating expenditure plans.
  • Participate in planning meetings with engineering for new product launches.
  • Drive and lead Continuous Improvement, Lean, and 6 Sigma Programs.
  • Evaluate employee performance and set expectations for the team.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or related field preferred.
  • Three years of manufacturing operations management experience or five years of direct plant management/supervision experience.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Proven project management, time management, and leadership skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret complex documents such as blueprints and work plans.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with Lean and Six Sigma methodologies.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
