About the position

The Manager of Purchasing is responsible for overseeing the procurement cycle within a growing manufacturing company. This role involves managing inventory levels, negotiating contracts with suppliers, and utilizing MRP systems to forecast demand. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in manufacturing processes and a strong background in purchasing and inventory management.

Responsibilities

• Manage the procurement cycle, including sourcing, negotiating contracts, and evaluating suppliers.
• Manage inventory levels and ensure timely delivery of materials and supplies.
• Utilize MRP systems to forecast demand and plan procurement activities.
• Negotiate favorable terms with vendors on prices, contracts and conditions.
• Must have experience in all areas of the Manufacturing Process including raw materials, WIP, finished goods, work orders and bill of materials.
• Procure-To-Pay experience.

Requirements

• 8 years of experience in purchasing and procurement within a manufacturing environment.
• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
• Strong knowledge of materials management and MRP systems.
