About the position

The Manufacturing Material Logistics Management Internship at Stellantis offers a hands-on opportunity for students pursuing an associate degree or higher to gain practical experience in a manufacturing environment. Interns will work on-site in Metro-Detroit or Indiana, contributing to material receiving and delivery activities that support daily production targets. This role emphasizes teamwork, communication, and problem-solving skills, providing interns with valuable insights into corporate culture and logistics management.

Responsibilities

• Assist teams in completing material receiving and delivery activities to meet daily production targets.
• Troubleshoot problems as they arise and allocate resources and manpower to resolve issues without impacting plant throughput performance.
• Collaborate with hourly, bargaining employees to ensure efficient operations.

Requirements

• Pursuing an associate degree or higher from an accredited college or university.
• Able to work full-time, 40 hours per week during the internship.
• Willing and able to work in a plant environment.

Nice-to-haves

• Working towards a Bachelor's degree in Logistics or a Manufacturing-related program.
• Demonstrated knowledge of LEAN manufacturing processes.
• GPA of 3.0 or higher (based on a 4.0 scale).
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite applications.
• Exceptional interpersonal skills for effective collaboration.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and multitask in a fast-paced environment.
