About the position

We are partnered with a well-established OEM manufacturer that is experiencing substantial growth. Due to this growth, they are seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join their team. The Mechanical Engineer will be responsible for taking new product ideas and product support projects from concept to production. This involves managing engineering project activities and priorities while coordinating with sales, manufacturing, sourcing, and quality departments. The role requires the use of engineering principles, proprietary design tools, and internal design criteria to develop new product concepts or enhance features for existing products. The Mechanical Engineer will create 3-D models, assemblies, and 2-D prints as needed to validate concepts, detail designs, and communicate design intent. Additionally, the engineer will specify and supervise product validation testing required to validate new concepts and designs, including documenting test results of standardized tests. This position is crucial for ensuring that the products meet the required specifications and quality standards before they are brought to market.

Responsibilities

  • Manage engineering project activities and priorities for new product ideas and product support projects.
  • Coordinate with sales, manufacturing, sourcing, and quality departments.
  • Develop new product concepts or enhance features for existing products using engineering principles and proprietary design tools.
  • Create 3-D models, assemblies, and 2-D prints to validate concepts and communicate design intent.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent discipline.
  • 2+ years' experience working with mechanical systems.
  • Experience with CAD systems, preferably Solid Works.
  • Familiarity with engineering standards and work processes.

Nice-to-haves

  • Preferred experience with basic manufacturing technologies and processes.
