About the position

The Manufacturing Operations Analyst plays a crucial role in enhancing the efficiency and effectiveness of manufacturing operations. This position is responsible for performing comprehensive statistical analysis, performance measurement, and cost analysis to provide insights that drive operational improvements. The analyst will collect and analyze data related to operational efficiency, quality, and cost control, ensuring that the manufacturing processes are optimized for performance and compliance with industry standards. In this role, the Manufacturing Operations Analyst will develop and maintain databases and data systems that are essential for various projects and departmental functions. By identifying trends, issues, and opportunities for improvement, the analyst will provide actionable recommendations aimed at enhancing operational performance. The creation and maintenance of reports to track and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) will be a significant part of the job, allowing for informed decision-making and strategic planning. Collaboration with cross-functional teams is vital, as the analyst will drive process improvement initiatives and develop standard operating procedures (SOPs) and work instructions for manufacturing operations. Regular audits will be conducted to ensure compliance with these SOPs, work instructions, and regulatory requirements. Additionally, the Manufacturing Operations Analyst will provide training and support to manufacturing personnel on data analysis tools and techniques, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence. The role also involves participating in the design and implementation of new manufacturing processes and systems, assisting in budget preparation, forecasts, and variance analyses for manufacturing operations, and conducting cycle time studies in collaboration with engineering teams to update standard times. This position is integral to the success of the manufacturing operations, ensuring that they are efficient, compliant, and continuously improving.

Responsibilities

  • Collect and analyze data to provide insights into operational efficiency, quality, and cost control.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in industrial or other engineering, statistics, or a related field.
  • At least 3-5 years of experience in manufacturing operations analysis or a related field.
  • Knowledge of statistical analysis tools and techniques such as SAS, R, or Python.
  • Proficiency in data visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI.
  • Understanding of manufacturing processes and systems.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Knowledge of Lean Six Sigma principles and methodologies is a plus.
  • Knowledge in Industry 4.0 manufacturing and its implementation is useful.
